The Comedy Of Careers: A Maha Manager’s 21 poetically illustrated work misadventures

Picture a beautiful morning, the sun glowing as you happily do yoga with a huge smile on your face. The peaceful air feels calm and refreshing. Suddenly, your phone beeps with an email. It's from HR. Confused, you check it. It's that dreadful news: Mass Layoffs.

Your world just turned upside down.

All you feel is confusion, hurt, anger, betrayal. But, deep down you know life must and will go on. You get ready to wear your cape.

‘The comedy of careers: A Maha Manager’s 21 poetically illustrated work misadventures’ marks the poet’s debut, embarking on an imaginative journey of 21 career poems and illustrations that depict ‘what if’ situations from facing job loss to experimenting unique career options.

‘Maha’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘Great’.

The poet says: ‘It’s about all the different jobs I would love to do if I quit my job one day or shudders was made to’

Set against the backdrop of post-2020 uncertainties, this anthology provides solace and wisdom. Each poem navigates emotions of change, doubt, and courage with a touch of humour. Because life is richer with a good self-laugh right?

A Maha Manager ultimately follows their calling, not the crowd or comfort zone.

I recently published my book, tinkering with the quirky genre of 'Career Poetry'.

Tanjore art or Thanjavur art flourished in 16th century in Southern India. The use of 24K gold plates along with semi precious stones makes these form of painting stand out and sparkle!
